Dutch Oven S'more Recipe

This Dutch oven s’mores recipe is gooey, chocolatey, and made to feed a crowd — perfect for camping, backyard fires, and sweet cravings.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pkg graham crackers 150 g
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips 100 g
  • Mini marshmallows 100 g

Instructions
 

  • Line the Dutch oven with parchment paper. This step can be skipped, but it helps to make clean up WAY easier.
  • Break the graham crackers into pieces and layer them on the bottom of the skillet.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips onto the crackers.
  • Top with mini marshmallows and repeat these layers if desired.
  • Cover the Dutch oven and cook over the fire or grill for 15-20 minutes.

Notes

  • When cooking with cast iron, be sure to season the surface first.
  • Always use gloves or oven mitts while cooking, as the surface of the iron will be hot.
  • Cook the recipe over an open fire using hot coals, not open flames. A fire that is too hot will burn the outside of your recipe and not cook the inside.
  • Be sure to clean the cast iron with a rough vegetable scrubber, rinse, and dry thoroughly before storing.
