Pie Iron Cookies

Warm, gooey pie iron cookies are a great camping treat! These sweet delights are cooked over an open flame for a nostalgic outdoor dessert.

- Pillsbury cookie dough
- Non-stick cooking spray
Spray the inside of the pie iron with non-stick cooking spray.
Open the package of cookie dough and squeeze about 2 Tbsp of dough onto one side of the iron.
Press the dough down slightly and repeat with the other side of the iron.
Do not close the pie iron and cook, open faced, over the fire for approximately 12 minutes. The cookies are done when they are slightly golden around the edges.
Allow to cool before removing from the iron.
- Be sure to liberally spray the interior of the pie iron to help prevent the cookies from sticking!

Only use about 2 tablespoons of dough — too much and it oozes everywhere.
