- 2 lbs salmon skinned, deboned, and cut into steaks
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
Put butter in a small saucepan and melt.
Pour or brush the butter over the salmon steaks, reserving a few tablespoons.
Quickly coat both sides of the salmon with seasoning before the butter solidifies.
Pour remaining butter on the skillet and preheat the skillet over the fire for 3-5 minutes or until butter begins to sizzle.
Sprinkle 1/2 tsp seasoning into the butter on the skillet.
Lay the salmon steaks onto the hot skillet and cook for 5-10 minutes, until it is nicely charred.
Flip the salmon over and cook on the other side for another 5 minutes.
- Make your own spice blend with garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and a little kosher salt. You get to control the spice level and customize it to your family’s preferences.
- Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container and kept refrigerated.
- Try making salmon tacos with your leftover salmon! Serve them with mango salsa, cilantro, and a splash of lime juice. Delicious!
