Skillet Blackened Salmon Recipe

This skillet blackened salmon recipe is the best thing that you will ever eat while camping! With just a bit of preparation you can have this delicious camping meal on your next trip.

- 2 lbs salmon skinned, deboned and cut into steaks
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 2 tsp cajun seasoning
Put butter in a small sauce pan and melt.
Pour or brush the butter over the salmon steaks, reserving a few tablespoons.
Quickly coat both sides of the salmon with seasoning before the butter solidifies.
Pour remaining butter on the skillet and preheat the skillet over the fire for 3-5 minutes or until butter begins to sizzle.
Sprinkle 1/2 tsp seasoning into the butter on the skillet.
Lay the salmon steaks onto the hot skillet and cook for 5-10 mins until it is nicely charred.
Flip the salmon over and cook on the other side for another 5 minutes.
