Total Time 25 minutes mins
- 1 can Pillsbury pizza crust
- 1/4 cup Primo pizza sauce
- 200 g Pepperoni sliced
- 1 cup Mozzarella shredded cheese
Open the pizza dough and press half of it into the bottom of the skillet. Reserve the other half for making a second pizza.
Spread pizza sauce on the dough.
Sprinkle generous amounts of mozzarella cheese over the dough.
Top with pepperoni slices and cover with foil (optional).
Cook over a low fire for 20-30 minutes or until the dough is baked and the cheese is melty.
- Spray the skillet with non-stick spray or coat in olive oil. A well seasoned cast iron skillet will not need this.
- Rotate the skillet often and move from open flame. Alternatively this can be baked in a trailer oven or over a BBQ grill.
- When cooking with cast iron, be sure to season the surface first.
- Always use gloves or oven mitts while cooking, as the surface of the iron will be hot.
- Cook the recipe over an open fire using hot coals, not open flames. A fire that is too hot will burn the outside of your recipe and not cook the inside.
- Be sure to clean the cast iron with a rough vegetable scrubber, rinse, and dry thoroughly before storing.
