Skillet Sausage Gravy Recipe

This skillet sausage gravy is rich, creamy, and ridiculously easy — perfect over biscuits, fried chicken, or steak.

- 1 lb ground pork
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 3-4 cups milk as needed
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cook ground pork in a skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through and until desired level of doneness, about 8-15 minutes.
Stir in the butter until melted and absorbed by the pork, about 2 minutes.
Sprinkle on flour and stir to coat pork completely.
Add 3 cups of milk and simmer for 8 minutes until thickened, adding additional milk as desired to make more "gravy."
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve over chicken fried steak, fried chicken, or biscuits.
- Use seasoned pork sausage or add extra seasonings (garlic powder, nutmeg, etc.) as desired.
- If the gravy is too thick, add extra milk to get your desired consistency.
