Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3-4 cups milk as needed
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook ground pork in a skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through and until desired level of doneness, about 8-15 minutes.
  • Stir in the butter until melted and absorbed by the pork, about 2 minutes.
  • Sprinkle on flour and stir to coat pork completely.
  • Add 3 cups of milk and simmer for 8 minutes until thickened, adding additional milk as desired to make more "gravy."
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Serve over chicken fried steak, fried chicken, or biscuits.

Notes

  • Use seasoned pork sausage or add extra seasonings (garlic powder, nutmeg, etc.) as desired.
  • If the gravy is too thick, add extra milk to get your desired consistency.
