The Best Beer Can Chicken Recipe

  • Whole chicken
  • Half a can of beer
  • Chicken seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Preheat a grill to medium-high heat, about 375 degrees F.
  • Coat the chicken with chicken seasoning. We love to use the Club House Montreal Chicken spice from Costco.
  • Drink half of the beer and carefully place the chicken onto the open, half full can.
  • Place the bird on a 5-8" cast iron skillet, balanced on the can, standing upright.
  • Next, place the chicken directly onto the preheated grill.
  • A baking sheet or oven safe dish works to place the beer can on as well.
  • Cook for 50-60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
  • Carefully remove the chicken from the grill using heat safe gloves.
  • Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving it.
