The Best Skillet French Toast Recipe

This skillet French toast is golden, cozy, and campfire-perfect — easy to make, easy to clean up, and guaranteed to disappear fast at the campsite!

Ingredients
  

  • 8 pieces of French bread sliced
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 Tbsp Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Strawberries sliced
  • 1 cup Whipping cream
  • Syrup for topping

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla.
  • Heat and butter the skillet to help prevent sticking.
  • Dip each side of the bread into the egg mixture, coating the bread evenly. Place into the skillet.
  • Cook over the grill or campfire for 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Remove the French toast from the heat and serve with your favorite toppings.
