Walking Strawberry Shortcake

Enjoy handheld goodness with our walking strawberry shortcake. These sweet treats make the perfect dessert-on-the-go!

- 6 pkg Animal Cracker cookies 30g
- 1 cup strawberry pie filling
- 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
- Whipping cream
Crush the cookies in the bags before opening.
Cut the strawberries into slices.
Add a large scoop of pie filling to the crushed animal crackers
Top with strawberries and whipping cream.
Serve with a spoon and enjoy!
- Use a pair of scissors to cut off the top of the bag, or fold the edges down carefully to avoid tearing. We find cutting the top off makes for less of a mess, but do whatever works best for you.
- Pre-crush your animal crackers and pack the pie filling and strawberries in separate containers. When you get to camp, all you’ll have to do is assemble everything.
- If you don’t have animal crackers, you can swap them out for graham crackers or even vanilla wafers. Just get creative with what you’ve got!
- If you’re not keen on bringing a can of whipped cream, a small container of homemade whipped cream works just as well. It’s easy to make at home and pack in a cooler.
- If you’re feeling extra, drizzle a little chocolate syrup or caramel sauce over the top before serving. It’s an easy twist on this already amazing treat.
