How to Make Easy Beer Can Chicken

Ingredients
- Whole chicken – The star of the show, this bird cooks upright for evenly roasted, super juicy meat with perfectly crispy skin.
- Half a can of beer – Adds moisture and subtle flavor while steaming the chicken from the inside.
- Chicken seasoning – A bold, savory spice blend that gives the chicken that crave-worthy, grill-ready flavor.

Instructions
1. Preheat a grill to medium-high heat, about 375 degrees F.

2. Coat the chicken with chicken seasoning. We love to use the Club House Montreal Chicken spice from Costco.

3. Drink half of the beer and carefully place the chicken onto the open, half-full can.

4. Place the bird on a 5-8″ cast iron skillet, balanced on the can, standing upright.

5. Next, place the chicken directly onto the preheated grill.

6. A baking sheet or oven-safe dish works to place the beer can on as well.

7. Cook for 50-60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.

8. Carefully remove the chicken from the grill using heat-safe gloves.
9. Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving it.

You can also make this recipe in the oven at home! It’s just as delicious!
How to Bake a Beer Can Chicken

It’s such a versatile dish too, with a ton of different variations. Try using a can of soda instead of beer, or chipotle seasoning instead of chicken spice.
