Ingredients

Each wrap can be customized with your favorite fillings—here’s our go-to setup:

  • 10” flour tortillas – fresh tortillas from Costco are our top pick for size and durability.
  • Deli ham, sliced – a salty favorite that holds up well in the cooler.
  • Deli turkey breast, sliced – pairs perfectly with honey mustard!
  • Deli roast beef, sliced – for the meat lovers in the group.
  • Cheddar cheese, sliced – or mix it up with mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese or provolone cheese, you pick!
  • Pickles – dill, sweet, or spicy, depending on your vibe.
  • Lettuce, chopped – we love romaine for crunch.
  • Tomato, sliced – bring the freshness, cherry tomatoes work too!
  • Mayonnaise – creamy base that helps everything stick.
  • Honey mustard – our secret ingredient (trust us, it’s a game-changer).

3. Roll it up nice and snug like a sleeping bag. Cut in half on the diagonal (because we’re fancy like that).

4. Wrap each one in parchment paper or plastic wrap and toss it in your food bag or cooler.

Bonus: They’re even better the next day after those flavors have had time to cozy up together!

Wrap It Your Way: 3 Flavor Combos We Love

  1. Classic Ham & Cheddar
Mayo, honey mustard, deli ham, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
  2. Turkey Ranch Club
Slices of turkey, a little cream cheese, chopped lettuce, tomato, bell peppers, and a swipe of ranch dressing.
  3. Roast Beef & Pickle Crunch
Roast beef, provolone cheese, red onion, crunchy pickles, and mustard. So good you’ll want a second one for the trail.

Tips & Tricks

  • Use sturdy tortillas. Thin ones crack under pressure. Look for fresh tortillas – they hold up like champs.
  • Layer smart. Put the sauces down first, meat and cheese next, veggies on top – this helps keep your wrap from getting soggy.
  • Wrap tightly. Roll them like you’re tucking in a baby burrito. (The kind that cries if you forget the pickles.)
  • Prep ahead. Make your wraps before the trip and store them in zip lock bags or hard containers to keep them fresh.
  • Add variety. Don’t be afraid to mix it up! Try grilled chicken, black olives, feta cheese, or even a swipe of peanut butter and jelly for the kids.
  • Keep ’em cool. Store in your cooler with cold water bottles or ice packs – no one wants warm mayo in the woods.

Frequently Asked Queations

Can I make these wraps ahead of time for a longer camping trip?
Yes! These are a great option for the first day or two of your trip. Just keep them in a cooler and eat within 24-48 hours for the best freshness.  Or pop them into the pie iron for a crispy finish.  We like to wrap them in a piece of foil or parchment paper for easy handling.

How do I keep my wraps from getting soggy?
Layering is key—start with sauces, then meat and cheese, and place wetter items like tomatoes and pickles in the center. You can also pack lettuce and tomato separately and add them right before eating.

What are some other no-cook lunch ideas for camping?
These wraps are a great choice, but we also love cheese sandwiches, pasta salad, black bean wraps, or even DIY peanut butter & banana roll-ups for something sweet.

Plus, if you’ve ever tried feeding a crowd of teens who “aren’t really hungry” and then eat like bears after a hike… you know how important a good lunch is.

So grab those wraps, toss them in the cooler, and enjoy more time hiking, swimming, or maybe just relaxing with your feet up by the fire. That’s what the camping experience is all about—less time cooking, more time living.
