Backpacking Bagel Recipe

This backpacking bagel recipe makes a hot, hearty breakfast on the trail — easy to cook, totally satisfying, and extra delicious after sleeping on the ground.

- Bagel
- Sliced cheese
- Cooked sausage patty
- Egg
Set up the jet boil with the pot attachment. Turn it on and heat the small skillet. Cut the bagel and toast both sides.
Prepare the egg. There are a few ways to do this — we packed the egg fully cooked and frozen, but you could also pack an uncooked egg in the shell to cook onsite.
Heat the sausage patty and add to the egg and cheese.
Layer the egg, cheese, and sausage between the toasted bagel and enjoy!
