Ingredients

  • Bagel
  • Sliced cheese
  • Cooked sausage patty
  • Egg

Instructions

  • Set up the jet boil with the pot attachment. Turn it on and heat the small skillet. Cut the bagel and toast both sides.
  • Prepare the egg. There are a few ways to do this — we packed the egg fully cooked and frozen, but you could also pack an uncooked egg in the shell to cook onsite.
  • Heat the sausage patty and add to the egg and cheese.
  • Layer the egg, cheese, and sausage between the toasted bagel and enjoy!

Notes

  • We packed all of these ingredients fully cooked and frozen on our last backpacking trip. Then we prepared this recipe on the first morning.
  • Without refrigeration, the ingredients should be used first thing on your trip.
