Camping Breakfast in a Bag

This camping breakfast in a bag is a great way to pack and prepare breakfast for your next camping trip!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 link 100g summer sausage, diced
  • 2 white mushrooms diced
  • 1 green onion stalk diced

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, combine eggs, cheddar cheese, sausage, mushrooms, and onion.
  • Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet on the camp stove or over the open fire.
  • Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and cook on medium, stirring frequently for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can cook several individual bag omelets at once in boiling water. Set up an omelet bar for everyone to choose their own add-ins. Use freezer bags or silicone bags and a large pot for this cooking method.
  • Foil packs can also be used. Try a disposable pie plate or cake pan covered with aluminum foil to prevent leakage.
