Chicken Bacon Ranch Foil Packets

Enjoy chicken bacon ranch foil packets — savory chicken, crispy bacon, and ranch seasoning, all cooked together in foil over a campfire for an easy and delicious camping dinner!

- 4 chicken breasts cut into strips
- 1 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning
- 2 cups small yellow gold potatoes halved
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 4 slices of bacon cooked
- Fresh parsley garnish
Preheat the BBQ grill to 400 degrees F.
Cut up the potatoes and slice the chicken.
Cook the bacon.
Divide the ingredients equally onto four sheets of foil (about 12” long).
Layer potatoes, chicken, cheese, and bacon, then sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix equally over top.
Fold aluminum foil into a packet.
Place the foil packets directly onto the grill grate.
Cook for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is completely cooked.
Garnish with parsley.
- When planning for camping, we like to do as much prep as possible at home, while we have access to hot running water. It makes cleanup so much easier.
- These foil packs can also be cooked on a baking sheet if you are worried about the packet leaking on the grill.
- Use sheets of heavy-duty foil or double wrap your packet if you are worried out breakage.
- Open packets carefully. They release quite a bit of hot steam.
- Give your foil a light coating of non-stick cooking spray to help prevent your ingredients from sticking.
- Be sure to cut your chicken breasts into evenly sized pieces for even cooking.
- Any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge or cooler.
