Camp Stove Fish Fry Recipe
This camp stove fish fry recipe is our go-to way to cook fish when we are out camping in the wilderness. Make the most delicious fish on your next trip!
We recently came home from an awesome trip to the Bowron Lake canoe circuit. The fishing on Isaac lake was amazing! We caught lake trout, rainbow and kokanee.

This was Isaiah’s fish lake trout, a gorgeous fish!
Knowing that we would likely catch fish on our trip, we packed our favorite ingredients for fried fish. We had about 5lbs of fish for two nights in a row before running out of butter and seasoning. Next time we will pack more!
Ingredients:
- fresh fish
- butter
- mango chipotle seasoning

Directions:
- Prepare the fish. Clean, fillet, skin and de-bone the fish.
- Heat a skillet over the camp stove, drop in about 1 Tbsp butter and allow to melt.
- Sprinkle both sides of the fish with seasoning and place in the skillet.
- Cook on each side for five minutes each until the fish is cooked through.
