How to Make This Skillet Philly Cheesesteak Recipe

Ingredients

  • Onion, sliced – Turns soft and slightly sweet as it cooks.

Instructions

1. Prepare the ingredients.

Tip: We like to do as much of the preparation for camping as we can at home. The onion and bell pepper were cut at home and stored in a large freezer bag for camping.

2. Saute the veggies over the fire until the onion is opaque.

3. Add the steak and cook over the fire until done to your liking.

  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 1 pound steak sliced thinly
  • 6 slices mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • Salt & pepper
  • Buns optional
