How to make this Skillet Philly Cheesesteak Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1 pound steak, sliced thinly
  • 6 slices Mozzarella or Provolone cheese
  • Salt & pepper
  • Buns (optional)

  1. Prepare the ingredients.  Tip: I like to do as much of the preparation for camping at home as I can.  The onion and bell pepper were cut at home and stored in a large freezer bag for camping.

2. Saute the veggies over the fire until the onion is opaque.

3. Add the steak and cook over the fire until done to your liking.

Doesn’t this skillet meal look amazing?!

4. Add salt and pepper to taste.

5. Top with cheese and serve on buns or as is.
