We try to do 90% of our camping meal preparation at home and this meal was no exception.

Ingredients

  • Ham, cooked and diced – Hearty and protein-packed, it’s what keeps everyone full.
  • Onion – Adds a little sweetness and savory depth.
  • Garlic, minced – Just enough garlicky goodness to boost flavor without scaring off your tent neighbors.
  • Eggs – The fluffy backbone of the burrito filling.
  • Milk – Helps make the eggs soft and creamy instead of dry and sad.
  • Cheddar Cheese – Melty, cheesy perfection that turns these burritos into something kids will actually love.
  • Salt & pepper – Add these simple seasonings to taste.
  • Flour Tortillas – They make these burritos portable and easy to eat around a campfire without losing half your filling.

Instructions

1. Cook onion in skillet until opaque.

2. Add garlic and ham.

3. Whisk together eggs and milk and pour over the mixture in the skillet.

4. Cook for about five minutes, stirring constantly.

5. Add cheddar cheese and mix.

6. Remove from heat.

7. In the center of each tortilla, place a 1/2 cup of the egg filling.

8. Wrap into a burrito and serve or package for reheating later.

  • 1/2 pound cooked ham diced
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 12 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook onion in skillet until opaque.
  • Add garlic and ham.
  • Whisk together eggs and milk and pour over the mixture in the skillet.
